Design description

In today's society, neighborhoods are becoming increasingly disconnected. This trend not only leads to a lack of mutual understanding, but also increases the complexity and difficulty of community governance.

We were inspired by a few enthusiastic neighbors in the community who use their cooking skills to provide delicious and convenient meals for residents, which not only solves practical needs, but also inadvertently brings them closer to each other.

We saw this as a great opportunity to build bridges between neighbors, and in order to get more residents to participate in this food and communication event, we created “YumYard”, hoping to use food as a medium for residents to connect over food.

Through the online social media platform (YumYard App) and the offline space (Yumyard - Community Canteens), residents can meet friends over food, show off their cooking skills, have a good meal, and promote mutual connection and trust building in the community.
